SIGHTSEEING HIGHLIGHTS

Day 1. Ayers Rock Resort
Welcomed on arrival at Ayers Rock Airport for transfer to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. You might like to visit the Information Centre, or simply enjoy the resort's excellent facilities.
Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort for 2 nights, choice of hotel.
Day 2. Sunrise, Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Kantju Gorge, Sunset Drinks
Enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and enjoy drinks whilst watching the first light of the new day strike Uluru. Join the guided Mala Walk to learn of the Mala (Hare Wallaby) people who lived at Uluru. Visit Kantju Gorge, a sacred waterhole at the base of Uluru and an old hunting ground. Retrace the path of Aboriginal mythological ancestors, hear stories told by the traditional owners and learn about the history of Uluru and ancient bush skills. Visit the Cultural Centre, then call into Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative to see Aboriginal artists at work. Return to your hotel before an afternoon tour to the great domes of Kata Tjuta, including a walk into Olga Gorge. It is believed that the 36 domes may once have been a single rock, but weathering over millions of years has left only what stands today. Return to Uluru in time for sunset and enjoy a glass of wine.
Day 3. Ayers Rock
Time for optional activities before transfer to airport.
