Itinerary
|
Day 1. Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Uluru Sunset
Flights to arrive prior to 1.00 p.m. Welcomed on arrival for
transfer to your hotel. Journey to Kata Tjuta to view these 36
immense rocky domes. Join a guided walk into Olga Gorge and discover
flora, fauna and geology unique to the region. Late this afternoon
travel to sunset strip. As the sun sinks into the desert plain, sip
on a glass of wine and view the show of changing light and colour
upon Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Two Night Stay: Choice of hotel.Day 2. Uluru, Liru Walk, Aboriginal Culture,
Rise early this morning to watch the day's first light illuminate
Uluru in a fantastic array of colours. Visit the Cultural Centre to
enjoy a tasty breakfast whilst you learn of the law and culture of
the park's current custodians, the Anangu. Join the guided Liru Walk
to immerse yourself in ancient Aboriginal culture and see a
demonstration of traditional bush skills. This afternoon, relax and
enjoy the resort's facilities. Shortly before sunset, journey into
the desert for the 'Sounds of Silence'. Enjoy fine Australian dining
in the desert before a guided tour through the night sky. (BD)
Day 3. Uluru Climb or Sunrise, Mala Walk
Rise early and enjoy a tea or coffee whilst viewing the sunrise over
Uluru, then visit the waterhole at Mutitjulu. Alternatively, climb
the mighty monolith to enjoy unhindered 'Outback' views. Join the
Mala Walk and learn of the Mala (Hare Wallaby) people. Enjoy a tour
of the base of Uluru and see caves, Aboriginal rock art and Kantju
Gorge. Visit the Cultural Centre and Maruku Arts and Craft
Cooperative. This afternoon, transfer to Ayers Rock Airport. |
